LumiDB is officially partnering with Flai, a leader in building advanced AI models for automated LiDAR point cloud classification.
This partnership directly advances LumiDB’s core mission: making 3D point cloud data instantly usable for every team that needs it. By pairing Flai’s massive-scale AI classification with LumiDB’s query-driven database layer, we are streamlining the end-to-end workflow, moving from raw scan to classified, queryable data without the manual handoffs that stall geospatial projects today.

Scale Meets Accessibility
Flai’s classifiers are built for enterprise scale. Their pre-trained models cover 40+ semantic classes across four major domains (aerial mapping, forestry, mobile mapping, and indoor stockpiles) and have already processed national LiDAR datasets spanning tens of thousands of square kilometers.
But classifying a national dataset is only half the battle; making that data usable across an organization is where the real friction lies.
What we are solving together
Traditionally, moving classified data into production means dealing with rigid file boundaries, heavy preprocessing, and clunky data transfers. LumiDB removes those bottlenecks by storing and serving point clouds at any scale, letting queries resolve in real time directly from a browser.
A connected Flai + LumiDB workflow means classified data is queryable and streamable the moment Flai finishes processing it:
- Zero Copies: Available directly to GIS, BIM, and CAD tools without duplicating massive files.
- Browser-Native: Viewable instantly by non-specialist colleagues without heavy desktop software.
- Instant Sharing: Shareable with external stakeholders via a simple web link—no more shipping physical hard drives.
The result? A single, AI-classified source of truth that is instantly accessible to everyone.
Hero users wanted: Help shape the integration
We are actively looking for hero users to help shape this cooperation. If your team already runs LumiDB alongside Flai, or would like to see what you would gain from a connected workflow, we want to hear from you.
Book a 30-minute workflow review with us. We will walk through your current setup, identify where the workflow fragmentation is costing you time, and turn what we hear into the first version of this cooperation. Hero users get direct input into the cooperation and first access to what we ship. The earlier you talk to us, the more of the design you shape.
